From a student idea in 1992 to a UK puzzle mainstay
Happy Puzzle began in 1992 when founder Gavin Ucko launched the company whilst at university, driven by a passion for creating engaging, educational puzzles.[1] What started as a student venture has grown into the UK’s foremost authority on family puzzles and games UK, with three decades of puzzle design, curation, and educational expertise. Based in Elstree, Hertfordshire, we continue to innovate with our in-house designs including the multi-award-winning Genius series, Jigraphy, and Mad4Jigsaws collections, whilst maintaining our commitment to supporting both family play and classroom learning across the UK.

As announced in our November 2024 press release, this collaboration brings iconic TfL imagery to life through innovative puzzle designs including Underground Genius, Underground Brain Train, and Underground Gridzy.
